House Warming

Sun Valley is the loveliest spot in the world. In summer, the trees are

green and the orchards turn red ripe. The blue sky is reflected in the river

and in the field the corns turn gold.

Then the farmers go out to harvest the corn and what a commotion

they cause among the mice who live in the field! They all grab their

belongings and rush away to find another home.

The harvester will come with the big wheels rolling and the big blades

cutting the tall corn. Hundreds of mouse families living in the corn-leaf

cottages are destroyed. Every year when it happens, the mice must run

away to their winter home.
