1. Joyce has a string 4 metres long. She divided it into 6 equal pieces. What is the length of each piece?

3. Lucy took 85 seconds to run one lap. Kimberly took 79 seconds to run the same lap. How much quicker was Kimberly than Lucy (expressed as a fraction of a minute)?

4. Nigel poured litre of paint into a pail. He added 3 times as much water to the paint. He divided the paint mixture equally into 4 smaller pails. How much paint mixture was there in each smaller pail?

5. The total length of 3 ropes is 3 metres long. One of the ropes is metre longer than the other two which are of the same length. Find length of the shorter ropes?
